Hello does anywon have any good ideas for wet weather activities near St Austell? Or anything that we should avoid?

We are off on holiday there and are expecting rubbish weather. Obviously we are thinking about the Eden project, and I will go a google search, but was just wondering if anyone has any top tips, or places we should avoid.

Thanks

Eden very good in the rain - like being inside a giant green house with plenty of room to run about. One entry ticket gets you in for a whole year so worth considering early on if you have a wet week. Food very average there so would consider taking a picnic if you're going more than once.

Newquay Aquarium is our other wet weather choice - rest of Newquay is unexciting (this is me being polite) but the aquarium is really nice & the Alantic octopus is huge! Take brollies as no where to park by the aquarium so you will have to do a short walk.

The tall ships at Charles Town are quite interesting too - though not in wet weather.

Have a good week

There is a large indoor 'soft play' place called Ben's Playworld. It's near the Cornish Market World in Par so very close. If you fancied a swim there is Polkyth (I am assuming that is still open - haven't lived there for a while!).

Or, just for the fun of it, why not take wellies and waterproofs and go to Par Beach to feed the ducks and run about on the sand? Sometimes the weather doesn't have to stop you enjoying yourselves and, trust me, your 3yo would love it!

Have a great time there though and I'll keep my fingers crossed that the weather stays nice.
