Going to Cork without the kids! What do you recommend we see?

Off for 3 days on the 22 August. Staying at the Gresham Metropole is that central? If it's warm are there any beaches nearby?

Jealous. One of my favourite cities. If I had 3 days there without the kids I'd go and sit in cafes with good books, tour the book shops and enjoy all the City of Culture stuff.

Can I come too?

Beaches?

Cobh (Queenstown) nearby is nice and by the sea, but can't remember if any beaches as such . It was late September when we were there and not beach weather, soz.
