would they enjoy it or be bored? I really want to go and dd1 would love it. The other children are 6, 4 and almost 3.

Am keen to hear your experiences!!

I have taken my 5 children two years running. They do like it -especially the den building and the little workshops. the biodomes are a bit dull (I think too) and we sped through those. they liked the outside paths though.

We lost dd2 who was 3 the first year. that was scary - you do need to be vigilant particularly when it is busy. (all summer I think).

and it was tricky keeping an eye on ds2 who was 1 and toddling last year while trying to build a den with the others.

Hmmmm. We've been twice with DD, once when 9 and once when 6. She was pretty bored both times, slightly less so the second time. Biodomes quickly became boring for her (although did like the waterfalls) even with the 'fun' trails and stuff, plus they get very hot and crowded.
All she wanted to do was have a go on the zip wire and ride on the road train.
I'm very interested in plants, ecology etc but even I found the slow walking around and just looking at things rather wearing after an hour or two.
Perhaps it was just too hot when we were there which made us feel a bit listless?

I agree that the den building workshop is good, though need to get there early to enjoy it at its best.
Not the best day out for 4 young children i don't think. We went last year with an 8 and a 4 year old. The day was ok, but we won't be rushing back this year.

We've been twice with the dcs. Last time they were 18 months and 3.5 years. The older one loved it, particularly the biodomes, but he is quite interested in plants and wildlife. The 18 mo was hard work (trying to keep him off plants etc).

I'd only go at a quiet time of year though. Think it would get quite stressful if it was busy.

We have been the last two Oct half terms and our 3 love it. Depends what is on but in Oct there was a halloween festival (Making potions/pumpkin carving etc.) and a wonderful ice rink. There is often a climbing wall there too.

The admission price gives admission for a whole year,so not bad value.

Thank you We're still undecided... we're off to Cornwall for around 10 days at the end of June so I guess it's not going anywhere! It looks great on the website, but unsure about the littlest ones still. Hmm...!
