DH and I are hopefully off to Majorca in three weeks time with our 4.5yr old and 2.5 yr old DS's. We are staying in Cala Dor. Would really love to hear any tips and advice about places to go/see that would keep the boys happy and entertained during the day and also in the early eves. We will have a car but plan to keep most of the holiday chilled out - so would be nice to have a couple of good 'things to do/places to go' for when we do decide to move from the beach! Also, i heard that some bars have family entertainment in the eves - just wondered if anyone had good recomendations esp for the under fives. MTIA!

I haven't been myself but DH went there a couple of weeks ago for a short visit, but he recommends Port de Soller, which is situated in a lovely bay with shallow water (ideal for paddling), has lots of cafes and ice cream parlours and also has a mini-train ride which travels around the bay and into the town.

Hope that helps - we'll all be going next year!

I second Port de Soller but it is a wee bit of a drive from Cala D'or. The train from Soller is very pituresque and travels all the way to palma its not a mini train as in the little ones that you sometimes get in touristy resorts.
The Aquarium in Palma is pricey but is really good.
Palma also has a brill huge play park not far from the Cathedral, the marina there is nice to walk around too and the kids normally love looking at the yachts.
There is a safari park not far from Cala D'or too.
Porto Cristo is quite nice too and also in that area.
Have a nice time!

Our 4.5 yr old is very into 'shows' at the moment!
