I have booked my dad a flight with online check in, and today have just checked in online

Quick question how long now does he have to be at the airport for prior to flight?

Depends on the airport - if it's Heathrow, I'd still allow a minimum of 90 minutes for short haul. If somewhere like East Midlands, then 60 minutes is OK

It should tell you on the website.
If he has luggage it can still sometimes take a while to drop it off.
Depends where he's gping and what airport as well as getting through security can take forever as well.
Not much help- sorry !

Its from east midlands to canary islands, no luggage ( he's off to his 2nd home )

My preference is to get airside early - I would rather be waiting airside having got through bag drop/security etc and know that I will get on my flight - rather than sitting in a traffic queue or security queue or in a broken down car at the side of the road panicing that I won't make the flight.

East Midlands is a doddle - you can even buy a priority pass for security if the queues look a bit long. An hour would be no problem
