clothes/cosmetics in hand luggage

going away on friday and have already packed 2 large and 1 small suitcase for me ,dp and 3dcs and we still have a bit left to pack.
can you take clothes and makeup etc in your hand luggage?
or is it just essentials ?
im clued up about the liquid restrictions etc
can anyone please advise me?

You can take clothes, shoes, whatever you like. Makeup should be put in the plastic bag with the liquids. Just watch the weight and size restrictions on your handluggage - check your airline's website.
