My brother has just booked the Salthouse in St Ives for a short honeymoon. It looks gorgeous :-)

Driftwood or The luggar hotel spring to mind but there is also Scarlett (think thats the name).

Lugger v nice and right by the sea (no beach but lovely little harbour!) Absolutely gorgeous and food is good - sadly haven't been for a few years but was good then!

The Headland
No idea of prices though

I second the Lugger - lovely location and fab food but there was a real dragon working there who put us off a bit. Went for my dad's 60th - so, me, DH, DB, SIL and mum and dad, had big fancy dinner, mum and dad went to bed, rest of us went through to bar to have a few more drinks. After a couple she told us that we couldn't have anymore and we should all go to bed . We were all being pretty quiet and subdued so were pretty annoyed really, it wasn't as if we were dancing on the tables or anything. This was 5/6 years ago now so she may have left/retired!

Heard that the Tresanton in St Mawes is lovely although never stayed there

poshtottie · 19/04/2010 21:03

Yes The Tresanton is sopposed to be very nice but think it may be more than £200 but you never know if they are having specials that particularly week.

bluesky · 20/04/2010 22:19

Tresanton lovely as in St Mawes and you can wander around the shops.

Driftwood completely isolated, you can walk down to the beach but that's it. It's very nice though with great food.

Lugger is child free so might be peaceful!

Scarlett is new and trendy and does have some offers on at the moment. A Spa too!

September is a really lovely time to go to Cornwall.

lolabug · 22/04/2010 16:42

Thanks all, I certainly have a great choice here..
