Alton Towers Water park - anyone been recently?

Am pondering this for a day out with our preschoolers tomorrow. Has anyone been over the last few weeks? Is it heaving at the moment?

Tis DD1s birthday otherwise I wouldn't normally contemplate it in schools holls, but figured they must have maximum numbers allowed in there, and also toddler area might be relativley quiet??

I was there yesterday and today.
It was heaving both days. Yesterday I went later on in the day, not sure exact time but I'd say 4pm-6pm (outside was closed, so must have been after 4pm). Today I went early afternoon 1pm-2.30pm (outside was open, though was still very busy inside, plus was fairly busy outside as well - plus hardly any lockers were available as most were in use).
Not sure if they count people going in, though I would presume they would know how many bands of each colour had been sold.

I felt it was busy but I've not been before so didn't know what to expect.

Something else to factor in, the traffic queues are quite long in the morning as the park itself is very busy. Park was quiet around 9am but by midday it was very busy.
