London Duck Tours are they worth it?

I am thinking of taking dd on one of the tours but it will work out at just over £50 for the three of us for just over an hour which seems like a lot.

We really enjoyed it.

depends on the tour guide. The first time I went it was really informative about what you could see and several fun anecdotes. The second time, the (different) tour guide was really offhand and told a few rude jokes - although there were no children on that trip. The transition from land to water was good although I didn't realise it would involve a change of drivers.

I am undecided. If I could get some discounted theatre tickets it would not cost much more to take her to a show.

I hated it (but I am a wuss). You could get a day pass and go up and down the Thames all day on one of these lovely things instead? Brilliant views of the whole of london - no commentary though.

Thanks Magic.

We are not far from London so we are not going to do the duck tour this time, we may also do a clipper trip. I had forgotten about those.
