What do your dds take in their hand luggage to keep them 'amoosed' on a plane?

Admittedly it's only 4 hours to the Canaries but we don't usually do this sort of holiday (see allllll my posts in Camping) and the dd's haven't flown before.

Can they take their DS'? We've got a crappy magazine each for them but any 'special ideas' would be good.

ta v much.

DS always takes his DS, wouldn't sope without it - lol!

the Puzzle range of books are quite good as there is lots to do on each page. There are some shown here

Also Top Trumps cards are always popular with my 2

Will head to WHSmith at the airport and see what they've got.

Sticker books and felt tips/colouring in/drawing stuff. A few special areoplane snacks.

I've taken a portable DVD player before - was great! kept the kids in the seats behind us quiet as well

we have taken colouring books and sticker books and food before but they have been more interested in the eating or looking out the window and i have ended up doing a full colouring book myself to distrct myself from shoyting myself

Thanks for your replies _ their bags are now full of stuff- minus scissors and glue of course!
Mind you they are both soooo excited that they won't need much distraction!
