Paris with my 14 yo dd, any advice

Hi all

the 2 of us are setting out for some girly time in Paris this weekend. We're staying in The Hôtel Sévigné, situated at 2, Rue Malher, if that rings any bells with anyone and any advice for where to visit, where not to go, etc. would be much appreciated. My daughter loves fashion and shopping, but I'm also hoping to visit some art galleries and museums for some of the time.

thanks in anticipation,

Lyra

Good place to stay - you must go to the Merci concept store on boulevard Beaumarchais and there are loads of great shops in the Marais. You can eat a great, cheap pizza or pasta at Amici Miei at 44 rue Saint-Sabin (no booking, so get there 10 minutes before opening time at 7.30 pm).

Are you going to be shopping and actually spending, or just window shopping? If so, what sort of budget does your DD have? Paris is very expensive, so if you give me some ideas I might be able to help...

You really must take her to Colette, as well.

she has a budget of about 65 euros for clothes and about 20 euros for small gifts for her friends.

i would also like to go to a good patisserie for coffee and cakes!

There are some fab vintage shops in the Marais, you just have to wander to find them!

If you can stretch to it then Angelina's by Concorde does wonderful hot chocolate. Mmm...
