Places with outdoor space and animals inside M25?

I'd appreciate some recommendations for good places to spend a day with four children under 8. We home-educate, so can plan to go when it's quieter.

I'm looking for somewhere with lots of nice outside space, good play equipment for young{er} children, and a few animals around to see and feed. A bit of indoor space for rainy weather would also be great, and a small cafe.

If anyone knows of places that offer a good Family Ticket, or that offer discounts for larger families, I'd love to know of them too!

TIA.

Forgot to say - inside the M25 but in the South-East corner of that area. I live in Peckham, within easy reach of the A2 and A20, and that neck of the woods generally.

Have you been to Godstone Farm? It's not too far from Croydon and only about an 8 min drive outside of the M25.

Godstone Farm.

There's also Deen City Farm in Merton. It's a small charity so entry is free. It's very small but at the right time of day the children can pay £1 to feed the cows, pigs etc., there's a cafe, and I think they do horse rides as well (see www.deencityfarm.co.uk/). There wouldn't be enough to do there for more than a couple of hours but we usually combine a trip there with lunch at M&S (5 minutes walk away and good for children) and a walk to the nearby wetlands and tropical fish shop. It's a cheap afternoon out and my toddler loves watching the fish

Kew gardens - though doesn't have animals... though does have some visit occasionally. Adults £13, Children Free. Membership from £39 a year.

Crystal Palace Park - has Dinosaurs and a Farm.

Battersea Park Zoo. Lovely little zoo with petting and play area. Huge open spaces of the park right there too.

Despite having been to Crystal Palace Park many times in the last few years I had no idea there was a farm there!

I think we might have to go and find it next weekend if the weather is dry.

For wet days, Horniman Museum. Don't recall there being a playground but there is some open space and towards the top of the hill there are some animals - goats, chickens I think. In Horniman Museum there are more animals - though they are stuffed... Plus a small aquarium.
