Cyprus.

We have been talking about it for a while now and have agreed that we both like the sounds of cyprus!

So i thought i would ask other mumsneters if they have married in cyprus or know of a good company to go with!

There is going to be a big group of us going and we want to hire a few villas for our special occassion so that everyone can be together, hopefully ones with swimming pool!

I would be very greatful for any suggestions so that we can start the arrangements for next year.

So far we are starting to ask family and friends and starting to write the list who is coming and who might be coming!

Thanks to any suggestions!

mummy23.

Hi,
Know this is a bit late just seen this post. I got married in Cyprus in 2003, we stayed at Loutsiana apartments, Nissi Beach.

If this is the right side of the island I can give you quite a bit of info. Email me and I will let you know further details - we had a hell of a problem with the travel agents we booked it through but it was a lovely day and holiday besides all the problems.

Do Meon villas go to Cyprus? They organised our wedding in St Lucia - admittedly years ago - but it was lovely.

Mummy23 I am Marrying in Cyprus next year on the 7th july! So far we have 32 friends coming with us!

We married in Cyprus - 13 years ago. We used Olympic Holidays who are still organising weddings and they sorted it all out. Prior to flying out we just filled in a tick box list of extras we wanted - flowers, cake etc and they organised the photographer, car etc. We stayed in a hotel so not sure if they do villas thou.

mummy23-any idea where in Cyprus you want to get married, i.e Ayia Napa - in the monestry,
Protaras, Paphos or Limassol, they are the main holiday destinations.

I live about 20mins from Protaras and Ayia Napa, so if there is anything there you fancy i could always take some photos of the area (if i can find it) and send them to you, so you can see live shots not just stagd ones.

Kidstrack2 · 31/08/2005 13:20

luckylady whats your honest opinion on the Ledra Beach in Paphos, do you know of it! I'm marrying in the hotel next year!

luckylady · 31/08/2005 21:41

Kidstrack2-sorry havent heard of it as I am at the other side of the island. I went to Paphos for the first time last week and stayed in the luca Laura beach,,we got what we paid for.,. I am sure it would have been a four star back in the 70s though. I will try and see if anyone I know has been there and let you know.

luckylady · 31/08/2005 21:43

it does look very nice though just had a look at it on line.

Kidstrack2 · 01/09/2005 13:37

thanks luckylady, haven't had any negatives about it and I had a friend who stayed there in January. I was told not to book the Luca Laura Beach because it had become too commercial . I'm really looking forward to visiting Cyprus!

luckylady · 08/09/2005 21:31

kidstrack2- i dont think I would recommend the luca Laura anyway tbh. I didnt really like the rooms and the bathrooms were defo dated.
