Have seen a great deal next month to Florida for couple of weeks. We have been before with my parents and my ds but he was 3 then so much easier to occupy on the flight. This time will be me, dp, ds and dd who will be 10 months. Are we mad??? She is a good baby but likes to lie down to go to sleep. Anyone done this with a baby? We really want to go as is best hol we can get in our price range and will be great for all of us. Only reservation is dealing with dd in the plane. X

who would you be flying with?

I did it when DS was 7 months with DH and then again at 15 months without Dh and we were absolutely fine both times. The only problem I had was when i needed a wee when flying by myself. The cabin crew said they weren't allowed to touch DS so sort of hovered around him while i quickly went but you will have your family so this won't be a problem.

I know that this isn't the subject but doesn't that whole 'we can't touch them' drive you mad! I just think whatever happened to helping people out and doing the right thing?
The bloody people who instilled such fear into this society should be ashamed!!!

sorry, rant over ;-)

It's with thomson, have flown long haul with them before, good room in between seats but can't book the bulk head seats. Ahhhh I don't know, once we are there willbe fab! Thanks for advice. Did your ds sleep/ want to crawl/walk about cabin? Xxx

He did crawl (1st flight), walk about (2nd flight) in the isle a lot, the cabin crew and passengers were fine with it. He slept on my lap quite a bit and they had Kung Fu Panda on the little telly which helped too.

They are well used to babies and young children on flights to Florida. I think they expect hundreds of over excited, can't wait to get to Disney kids. I actually think my DS was better behaved than some of the older ones.

I'm going again in May when DS will be 3 months away from being 3. I expect he will be more of a handful this time.

ooh meant to say, yes i agree AW. Drives me mad too. Especially when they knew i was on my own.
