Can you use an ipod on a plane?

We are going to Turkey in a few months. It's not a long flight but dd2 doesn't do sitting still for any period of time.

I thought loading a few of her favourite programmes onto my ipod would occupy her for at least a bit of the flight.

I'd rather know now if I can'ty use it, so that I have time to think of something else.

As far as I know you can, I've used mine in the past. If you have a newer generation one then it might have flight mode enabled which would allow you to use it continually, otherwise you can use it "in-flight" just not during take-off and landing (about 30 mins each).

Yup - although may have to switch off during take off/landing

Yes you can, but you have to switch it off for landing and take off.
