Anyone been to Dubai with children?

Have been invited with friends to Dubai in October. Their children are 7 and 5, my dd will only be 16 months - Any thoughts?

go... would love to go to Dubai and dd is only 10 months. But unfortunately we are on a budget saving to emigrate. We thought about flying through that way on our way to Aus and having a stop off for a few days.

There are people here who have been to Dubai with children.

Went when I was pg. Stayed at the Dubai Marine Beach Resort on the Jumeirah beach (DH's work picking up the tab thankyouverymuch!)and there was loads of families there. Remember thinking "well - if THIS is holidaying with kids - I can handle it "

It's a superb place to visit! But very hot - but I think October might be better. The flight's quite long though - that would be my main concern - not actually being there! GO - you'll ADORE it!
