my husband is booking us a 2 week holiday in st.lucia at the jalousie plantation hotel. I am very excited, but having doubts about the flight, the mosquitos, that there is only one restaurant and we have to take a shuttle bus to the beach. Has anyone been to this hotel or st.lucia with a 6 month old? Are we mad to be going or will it be wonderful?

I took my DD when she was 8 months - stayed at my parents house which is near Anse Chastenet.

Flights were fine - I had bulk head seats so lots of room and DD sat on my lap during take off etc

St Lucia is wonderful, I can give you private numbers of people, like taxi firms etc if you like?

St Lucia is a beautiful country and totally child-friendly. I went with a 3-year old and a 5-year old in 2008 and we all loved it. I totally recommend it. We had a fab taxi driver (I can also give you his number) who showed us around the whole island. Your little one will love it!
