Hello all,i will be travelling with my 11month DS on air canada next mth to canada.Their policy is not to assign bassinets if the infant cannot sit upright,so i will have him on my lap, hopefully that should be fine. They have said all the bulkhead seats are taken already.
My questions are :
1--If anyone has travelled with Air cda,i would like to know your experiences esp with children.
2--How can i keep him occupied (he's not walking as yet, so enjoys crawling).
3--The gap between leaving the plane on arrival and collecting the pushchair, how do i carry him,any ideas on suitable baby carriers? he's 19lbs and quite a heavy lad to hold for quite a while(esp if waiting in a queue at immigration).
Thanks so much,i look forward to your replies.

Haven't used AC for years; they were okay the last time I used them but not really outstanding.

At the UK end you should be able to take his pushchair up to the entrance to the plane. Then it will get taken off you and put in the hold.

Hopefully the ground staff will have the pushchair in the jetway on leaving the aircraft. This is what usually happens but ask about where to collect the pushchair when you check in. (BTW tie something bright but inexpensive to it for easier identification).

HTH and good luck.

Travelled with AC to Vancouver last year. They were okay - not brill but better than some! DS was 9 months at the time so we had a bassinet thankfully. They were quite strict though about letting us put DS on the floor for a play (health and safety crazy)

From memory I think the pushchair was delivered to us at the plane door on arrival. We had to wait for everyone to get off but then stuck DS in pushchair and went to get luggage. Maybe think about a hippychick for the queues?
