I need a lovely Cornwall/Devon farm holiday ...

We would like to go to Devon/Cornwall next month for an early spring (probably freezing!)farm holiday - I've been scouring the internet but getting overwhelmed with the choice. We'd really like to go somewhere that also has an indoor pool as well as lots of stuff for kids to do (playrooms/play areas etc); also would like somewhere that is only a very short drive from the sea. And which is not horribly expensive! I've seen some gorgeous places but we cannot afford upwards of 700 quid for a week ... more like 3 or 400! Are v flexible on location as long as it's near coast. Has anyone been anywhere simply wonderful that they could recommend, that won't break the bank? We have two DCS, aged 4 and 2.

Bosinver might have availability if you aren't looking in school holidays.
I think it is wonderful - we went for 6 years!
Doesn't have an indoor pool, but does have an outdoor one.
Has a barn with small soft play & toddler toys.
Outside playground, trampoline, zip wire.
Woodland walk with lake.
Games room with pool table.
Feeding the animals, collecting an egg and bringing the horses in each morning, plus pony ride one morning.

This place is lovely, but not sure what prices are at this time of year, depends on the size of the place you get I guess.

compton pool

Thanks ChasingSquirrels and preggersplaypop - I did have a look at Bosinver, and had dismissed it cos of no indoor pool (outdoor pool not open till later in year), but it does look very nice - and they do have some availability next month. I will have another good look! Compton Pool is too spenny sadly - upwards of 600.

Also think North Devon might be better as not quite such a slog to get there from London. Idea of being in car with two small ones for over 5 hours is a little terrifying ...

When we went it was that price for the whole SC barn and it was big enough for 2 families so we went with friends and halved the cost!

What about China Fleet Country Club? I know its not a farm, but has indoor pool, indoor soft play, restaurants and spa, outdoors golf and playground.
Cottages are self catering, is only 20 mins from coast and on the doorstep of dartmoor and plymouth if rainy.

Torridge House

I have been here 4 times, last time we went there was a family from a previous stay and one family who had been 10 times!

It is very relaxed, not an artificial farm stay but a muddy real one with piglets being born, eggs hatching, litters of baby mice, lambs to feed, newborn guinea pigs and young rabbits to handle.

There are a few cottages (hay and lin) that are small and well within your range.
