Thinking of going to Sharm-el-Sheikh beginnning of June with 6 and 4yo DDs. Worried might be too hot to do anything, although the main idea is to just relax and chill out as opposed to sight seeing. Will we all fry?

Anyone who has stayed at Park Inn, I'm particularly interested in the Kids Clubs and anything you really liked/disliked when you were there.

Thank you for any comments.

The average temp on June is around 35 degrees but Egypt is a very dry heat with 0% humidity so it honestly doesn't feel like 35 degrees would in the UK. I think it would be fine as long as the kids wore full uv suits and you kept them out of the sun at the hottest time of the day.

We went to Egypt for Xmas and New year with our 2.3 DD and we all have a lovely time - we stayed at the holiday village. Would definitely recommend it.

We went in July last year - 40 degrees every day! My DS has red hair and I was worried he'd burn but he was fine - just smothered him in cream every half hour or so and made sure he wore his hat and UV suit.

We stayed at the Maritim Jolie Ville - I'd go back there in a heartbeat - it was fab from start to finish - pool is more like a lake and the staff very cheerful and eager to please. There was a kids club there, run by a Russian girl who tried hard but really wasn't bothered. DD went a few times but it was a bit crap really so she wasn't fussed.

We went in May a few years ago and for a couple of days running it got up to 48!

Even just as the sun was setting the heat felt like we were standing in front of an open oven door on full blast.

We managed to get sunburnt easily although we were very careful about sunscreen and not staying out in the sun too long.

I personally would be cautious about taking kids only because I know that I wouldn't be able to relax at all and would probably end up spoiling their enjoyment in the pool etc.

Thanks for all the comments, folks!

We've actually booked beginning of june but the hotel has a kids club so the DDs will be out of the sun for a lot of the time and they are used to wearing UV suits and hats when in the pool on hols anyway.

Hersetta - one of my friends has stayed at the Holiday Village so I know it's good - we've been to the one in Lanza and Costa del Sol. Unfortunately due to the fact that Tesco is funding a large chunk of this hol we are limited to where we can book. Hopefully we haven't found a hovel!
