Can you recommend a cafe in Leeds, Harrogate or local countryside for kids birthday tea

I'm planning a small tea party for my dcs. Their relatives live up north so I thought it would be nice to take them all out to a tea room or a cafe for tea and cake. There'd be about 12 adults and six kids.

Can anyone recommend somewhere in areas mentioned in title, please?

The visitor centre restaurant at Fountains Abbey is nice, and you'd probably be able to get sufficient room for all of you. You don't have to pay to go into the Abbey grounds to use the restaurant, and there are good sign posts. Its not cheap and it is self-service, but nice quality. I think that you can also get into the Tea room near the deer park entrance and that is a more tearoom feel. Good place for dcs to have a romp too, and nice playground suitable for approx 3 - 14y.

There is also a nice tearoom at Bolton Abbey, looking over the abbey (not the one down near the main car park), although I've not visited that one for ages.

Betty's at Harrogate or Harlow Carr probably not a good idea in terms of table availability for a party your size - and also quite expensive for that number of people.

Definately not bettys even if you can get a table it would bankrupt you.
Fountain's abbey is great,(the playground is good, but beware you do have to pay to get into that.) but make sure they are open it's that horrible time of year when lots of places seem to be shut.
I don't know where else that would be big enough for all of you. good luck
