What's to do in Shrewsbury & environs?

We will be visiting the area at the weekend. Does anyone have any recommendations at all? The nearest big place to where we're going is Shrewsbury.

Have you heard of Blists Hill Victorian town? It's part of the Ironbridge Gorge attractiona. We really enjoyed it. And the hands-on science place that is also part of it. Definitely worth a visit!

If you're in the town and it's not raining/snowing/sleeting the river and the Quarry Park are quite pretty for a stroll.
