bus transfer on package holiday with one year old

DD will be 15 months when we go on a package sun holiday in May. For the bus transfer, how does she travel? Can she just sit on my lap or do I have to bring a car seat for her? IIRC, some of those buses don't even have seat belts?! And I want to travel as light as possible. And what about any taxi trips we take while there, to theme parks etc? We were abroad with her at 10months but hired a car so were able to hire a car seat with that.... clueless about how it works on a package holiday! Tia.

When we went with our ds the minibus had a car seat in the boot for toddlers, which they then fitted prior to the journey, but I think on the way there we went on a coach and we just had to hold him.

We didn't get a taxi anywhere as I was too worried about the safety aspect - they drive like loonies in some countries. I suppose if it was a short distance on a slow road you could risk it?
