AAARRRGGGGHH Bloody Ryanair

We've just ( as in 2 weeks ago) booked a weeks hol on a campsite in Languedoc Rousillon. Ryanair fly from our local airport (East Mids) to Carcassone which is about 40 mins drive from where we are staying.

When we booked the campsite, we checked the ryanair website for the timings and they flew to Carcassone 6 days out of 7 in August inc Saturdays so we booked the campsite Sat to Sat.

Just checked again and they are now not flying on Saturday or Sundays.

Is it worth holding out and seeing if they reintroduce the days (experience has shown that this flight was always full on whatever day you flew) or booking an alternative, or cut short the holiday by a day?

It doesn't matter on the outbound journey as we are staying at a friends in the area for the week before so can easily adjust the outward day.

Why why why have they done this??

sounds interesting.
We had the holiday from hell last year in France at Centreparcs. Never again.
4 kids aged 1 to 17. Kind of like the idea of not having to battle through the damm airport security, particularly as last month when we flew the numpties accused us of having traces of TNT in my baby's changing bag. They had a sense of humour failure when I pointed out that the most explosive thing in the bag was a shitty nappy

I think there is a proper place and a fee for that kind of post.

The withdrawal of Ryan from East Mids has been the subject of quite a few threads mostly by people who had already booked flights only for Ryanair to cancel them. I think it is unlikely they will be reintroduced.

Ryanair did this to me a couple of years ago. We booked the holiday, flight and transfers. Paid for it all. Then about 6 weeks later they emailed saying they were no longer flying to the airport in France we were going to but could go to Geneva instead for no extra charge.

This was a lot further away and we'd have needed to car hire rather than a transfer and neither me or my friend were keen on driving so we scrapped the holiday and lost a lot of money.

Could you fly the day before, and stay an extra day?
