Hi all,I'm travelling to canada with air canada(AC)for the first time, my son will be 11 months at time of travel. Does anyone know if AC provides infant seats , i know BA does on with a slight recline.
I can't seem to get a response from AC,as the lady keeps repeating a script to me about a bassinet if he is unable to sit up.
Would love to hear anyones experience, and if they travelled with their DS/DD on their lap at 11mos.
Thanks

Hi, got some great advice on here a couple of months ago when flying to Cape Town with then 14 month old.

On the way out he was on our laps, which was ok. Someone on here recommended going for the seats which are in front of the toilet. This was great advice, as we didn't have to worry about anyone being next to us and there was a bit more of a recline on the seats. My DH ended up finding a spare seat and we stretched out over two, which was great. Only irritating thing about this was that DS didn't sleep for the second half of the flight as he was continually distracted by people queuing for the toilet.

On the way back, we managed to book a bassinet (by being very vague about DS's weight and exact age on the phone). This was great - he slept brilliantly in it, despite being rather too long (we had him in his sleeping bag and kind of hoiked that up underneath the straps to make his legs appear slightly shorter than they were - this sounds very cruel, but he sleeps in this frog-like position anyhow).

My only other advice (and this is a bit controversial) would be Piriton - my friend is a pediatrician and gave us the seal of approval for giving DS a very small dose and he slept like a dream.

Good luck!
