Check in times at Heathrow

Flying to Portugal next week and noticed that the website says check in 2 hours before the flight, I thought with all the 9/11 it was put up to 3 hours, I am sure it was 3 hours when I flew to Zante last year. Has it recently changed.

Any info would be great.

i always thought 3 hours... and to be honest i would allow 3 hours especially as its summer.

2 hours seems to be normal for European flights these days. Many of the charter type outfits certainly wouldn't have their desks open 3 hours before the flight IME. However the rest of security is still fairly tight so less waiting around - you'll be queuing from one security check to the next!

Thanks, its was just that we have bought airport parking and it said allowed 45 mins to terminal, that would of taken us to about 2 hrs and 50 mins before take-off, so that should be fine now.
