I'm taking my 16 year old niece to Paris for a few days with my 2 DS' they are 4 years and 11 months. Will take my niece to all the sights etc but I think my boys might need to let off steam esp the 11month old who has just started walking and won't want to be stuck in the pushchair all day. Has anyone got any good ideas for places the boys can run around either within museums, in softplay centers or just anywhere they can roam freely. We won't have a car so will need to be walking or metro ride from the center.

We love Paris and take our 4year old DS and 6 mths old there fairly regularly.

Not sure were you are based but we usually stay on Rue de Rivioli opposite the Jardins les Tulieres. This is a fairly large park / formal garden with Le Louvre at one end. There is plenty of space for running and hiding behing statues, Pony rides and model boating ( though think this is summer only) and playground and nice cafe.

Try a river cruise as well as even at 3yrs old my DS loved the boat trip! Good if wet as under cover.

Don't know any soft play areas but they may like the small zoo at Jardin des Plantes which has plenty of outside space and parks too and quick metro journey x

Thanks we just got back. Agree parks are lovely just not really the weather for it. However, the Christmas markets where on and they had lots of kids rides and play stuff so DS1 got to burn up some energy.
