If taking a baby who is at the stage of not lying somewhere and staying put or being able to get of bed themselves then definatly take a travel cot. I recently went on this holiday with 10 month old dd who is into everything and for the cot side on her bed they gave me a toddler bed guard. Something she would instantly flip over and onto the floor. I kicked up a fuss but they just kept on telling me that what they had given me is what mothercare state as a standard cot side. As we did not take our travel cot we had to impovise using what they gave us and a car dogguard covered in a sheet!
So for anyone going just take the travel cot just incase you get given the same as I did.
