Family accommodation in Paris & Lyon

Just wondering if anyone can recommend any family friendly accommodation in Paris & Lyon. We will be travelling over next year from Australia with our two children (3 & 1) and possibly my parents so probably a cottage or something self contained.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Look at www.gites-de-france.fr this is a great website for self catering & b&b (Chambre D'hotes). I've booked 3 times on line, all for 3star (ears of corn) rated gites, all have bben great. Not sure what Paris coverage is like but can also reccommned Etap and Ibis hotels, both part of the Accor chain, look at www.accorhotels.com. Also for apartments you could look at www.interhome.com.
