Are they a swizz?
Has anyone ever managed to book them?
I have wasted hours online trying to book but at the checkout it always declines and states that these tickets are not yet available.
Have also tried Tel. with the same response.
Should I go to the station in person?
Any help appreciated.

I've booked them - got 1st class for about £30 each way to London from the Midlands.

Thankyou, that gives me some hope.
Did you manage to get them online? and how far in advance did you book them?

The difference in price for us is £250 for standard travel

How far in advance are you trying to book? In my experience the cheap tickets are usually released anywhere between 12 and 6 weeks before the date of travel.

I had to book some train tickets the other week with virgin, i bought a rail card first of all, using a promo code someone gave me on here, and then booked my advance tickets.saved almost £100 on the price

booked them 2 weeks before travelling.

did it online as the phone service was terrrible

Thankyou LuluMaman, the website is letting me book tickets with a railcard and not without, but even then it won't let me have the £28 tickets, only the £77!!

They are beginning too make Ryan air look like gentlemen.
