Wedding anniversary/first time away from children - suggestions?

I'm looking for some suggestions/recommendations for a short break. We don't want to travel too far from our London home so have considered Brighton, Jersey and Paris. Any suggestions for hotels in these areas or suggestions for other locations.

We want somewhere really nice where all the details are taken care of - I want to be pampered!!

What about Bath?
Easy train journey there, time at the Spa, its a lovely city...

Don't know how much you have to spend, but what about The Orient Express?

You can do trips in the UK. Leaving from London. Romantic luxury!

What about Edinburgh? One hour flight and fab city. There's a new Missoni hotel opening up there,; I can also recommend the George Hotel in George St or the Radisson on the Royal Mile. Or even Glasgow - there is loads to do there.

If you don't want to fly, Bath or Cardiff are easy by train; or you could go by Eurostar to Paris, Brussels or Bruges.
