Where shall we go for a special holiday?

We want to take dd who's just 1 somewhere nice for a week. We've been thinking about Greece but aren't sure. We want somewhere warm, not to far flight, with a lovely hotel with rooms with terraces so we can sit in the run when dd sleeps. We don't want to have to drive & are not really into entertainment style hotels. Price wise this is a special holiday! We're not overly keen on going to Italy as we're going in August. Any suggestions? Thanks very much!

one of the best holidays we've been on was to Cala d'or, majorca and we stayed in the sa marina aparthotel... the rooms were amazing, very big and becuase its an aparthotel you get the best of both worlds, a big two roomed aprentment with balcony, fridge / freezer, sink, and you can also go halfbord and the food there was excellent.
It's walking distance to the beach, take about 3/4 mins with a shop just over the road. Have a look on the reviews on trip advisor... i really recommend it, it was great!
