Been trying on and off this evening to check in the 7 of us for New York tomorrow. But Virgin Atlantic won't let me. Doesn't say why though. Anyone else had this probelm? Did you get round it?

Ryanair wont let you check in online if you do...maybe its the same?

Hulababy · 22/05/2009 21:59

No the children are 3, 6 and 7.

It's not fair

All details are ok. Have chosen meal requirements, have chosen seats and have entered ll the advance passenger info (as required by US). So why can't I check in?!

Is it a Continental flight codeshare and not actually a VA flight? If so it won't recognise your flight no.

[as I found out thee hard way - luckily live near enough Gatwick to still get there for 6am by train...]

Hulababy · 22/05/2009 22:33

No it is a Virgin flight. Flight number is a Virgin one.

The error message simply says:

Unfortunately we are unable to check you into this flight at this time. Please go to the airport to check in at least two hours before your scheduled departure.
To save time at the airport, you can enter your Advance Passenger Information here.

Then all 7 names are listed below which are all correct. We have already entered the API stuff which is cnfirmed online when I log in to my booking.

Hulababy

Have you done the ESTA?. If not, this may well be why.

Hulababy · 28/05/2009 03:01

Yes we had done the visa waivers.

Checked in fine at the airport. The people there couldn't ay why - maybe because it was two different names or that it was busy.

Currently here, mid way through our holiday and having an amazing time.
