Can anyone recommend the best travel company to book with for a one day trip to Lapland in December? We want a trip that includes meeting Father Christmas and the elves

I know it's ages till Christmas but I want to book it soon

Thanks

Hi, I went around 6 years ago when my eldest were aroun 9 & 6 years old. Had a fab time although very expensive. Think the company we booked with was Canterbury Travel. They do quite a few different options with their day trips, to a few different locations so make sure you read it all carefully before you book

Think we went to Romaniev(sp?) which was great. Transfer from airport to site on snowmobiles (jet skis on snow) with kids in little sleighs. A few hours playing in snow, husky and reindeer sleigh rides then a visit to the man himself after which we went to the arctic crossing post office where you could buy really nice christmas stuff and send cards back home with the lapland post office stamp on. was a lovely day and will do it in a few years when DCs 3 and 4 are old enough to enjoy

There are two firms that specialise in this Canterbury travel (as mentioned) and emagine, the majority of other firms offering these trips will just be on-selling one or other of these (with their own profit added in).

I think mumo/s was aiming at Rovanemi (styles itself capital of Lapland), these trips are fantastic experiences whcih the kids will remember for ever.

Had to do the trip twice (big age gap in DCs) went once with each company, both gave as an exellent experience. Have a great time.
