I visited about 2/3 years ago somaybe not to recent, but we had the best time ever!

When we went, you could buy food for the hooved animals to feed through the windows, this included the zebras and giraffes too! One giraffe put his head in the car to say hello much to the kids delight (my son was 4 at the time). Dont know if this is still allowed and if it is you are only allowed to feed them food that it brought at the start. You can also go round the safari as many times as you want.

There is also a seal show and a great bat cave, which i didnt particully like as they really do fly around your heads!

There were some fun fair rides there to, but these were at an extra cost and not really suitable for younger ones.

Dont know about staying anywhere as we just went for the day.

My parents live near there. It's good fun, if you go once you get a free return the same year (I think, or at least a discount).

4 yo would love it. get there v early (opens at 10) and be the first round the park, then you get loads of time for the real moneyspinner fun - the funfair.

Dont know anywhere to stay but there will be lots of options.

We went a few times last year - it's pretty good as you do get to feed the animals (with the food they sell) so they come very close

had a great time of our two visits. bought initial tickets using tesco clubcard vouchers. when we handed them over we got a free return so were very impressed.

I think West Mids Safari park is one of the best days out around.
Some nice places to stay in Bridgnorth I would think.

Don't feed the giraffes. One of them had a cold when we fed them. Put it this way, I've never laughed so much but we didn't have enough wipes in the car to clean up DH's hand!

A 4 year old will love it, DS did.

sounds like a good day out then!

we went on Monday and it was completely fab!

The safari was miles better than Longleat with loads of lovely tigers and lions that were all awake, giraffes that put their heads in the car and loads of animals to pet from the car window.

Rides were good too although you have to pay extra for them. there is a special area for the tinies but I didn't go and look at it. I should go in term time if you can then there's no queuing for rides and it's more relaxing. One thing -it is slightly jaded and old fashioned in the theme park and could do with a coat of paint and a makeover but this did not detract from the rides and my DCs never noticed.
