could anybody recommend a good family hotel/appt in greece preferably Corfu.

Just needs to be near the beach & with a pool.
A bit of evening life wouldn't go a miss but not essential. Just somewhere for DH & I to sit & have a drink.

We stayed at the Socrates hotel/appts in Sidari, Corfu last year. Booked through First Choice. Very nice place, clean and modern with very friendly staff without being in your face and there were a good few families there but not exclusively so. The hotel has some evening entertainment and the restaurant/bar is very good. The hotel is a ten minute walk away from the main resort area of Sidari but there are lots of bars and restaurants close by but it isn't noisy at all.

It's small so there's no kids clubs or anything. It has it's own pools and a children's pool and the main beach is a ten minute walk away. I'd go back! It's a much shorter flight than to Crete and our weather in August was just as good. You can also go on a day trip to Albania - twas fascinating!!

We went to the blue bay escape resort in st spiridon Corfu last year. It was all inclusive and we actually had a really nice time. It wasn't by any means 'luxury' all inc, but that really didn't matter. Kids club, bit of evening entertainment, nice food and lovely grounds. Unfortunately, it has been taken over by Thomas Cook and the same fornight this year (June) is over £1500 more expensive!! Hoping they have done something incredible to justify that!
