Is it possible to use 2for1 London Offer if you live in London?

Does anyone know if it is possible for me to buy a train ticket (eg Hackney Downs to Liverpool Street) and qualify for this offer? If anyone has successfully done this before I'd love to know. I'm planning a trip to London Zoo tomorrow and wonder if I could save a bit of money this way?

I think you just need to prove you have a valid ticket to the station nearest the attraction. I live in zone 6 and have used the 2for1 offers in the past when travelling from my local station. Check the website.

Yes, it's valid even just for a 10 minute train journey in London.

Brilliant, thanks, I have looked on the website and it just says you must have a national rail ticket so hopefully this will be OK - I'll let you know how I get on....

Just in case anyone sees this in future, it worked just fine. I probably didn't even need to buy a ticket as they barely glimpsed at them so could probably have gotten away with using an old one! So deffo worth doing - £2.40 for a £15.50 saving!
