Any MNers in Reading? What can you do with kids there on a Tuesday?

I'm meeting up with a friend in Reading and we need to find somewhere for our 2-yr-olds to play, preferably within 20 mins' walk of the main railway station. Indoor and outdoor suggestions would be great as we can't predict the weather!

Thanks!

I am bored and created this google map for you!

I can't think of anywhere to play in the Town centre. There are the Forbury Gardens to run around in if nice, or Reading Museum (but they are too young to appreciate that.)

You could get the No.17 Bus down the Oxford Road to Norcot Junction and visit the Soft Play Centre Krazy Kidz?

Or a Bus to Caversham, or Reading Bridge and feed the ducks and swans on the Thames? There is a park at Kings Meadows.

Inddor activities are all out of town as far as I know.

I wouldn't say rivermead was out of town, could walk there in 20 mins with a buggy, definitely - and has a great soft play thing in the mornings with bouncy castles, cheaper than krazy kids too, about £2 per child

Gasp! MrsJamin, you are amazing!!! How did you do that? And thank you so much, I'll send the link to my friend. What a wonderful woman you are.

Seriously, though, how did you do that?!

Milliways - thank you, that sounds like a brilliant indoors option if the weather's bad. Bus is fine, presumably it goes to and from the station?

tehe google maps is amazing - you can just make maps up and save them to a public thingy so anyone can see them. Easier than explaining where everything is in writing! Hope you have a fun morning with your 2 year olds.

MrsMerryHenry · 04/03/2009 15:44

Thank you so much, I'm sure we will!

MrsJamin · 14/03/2009 17:48
