Birmingham National Indoor Arena (NIA) - seating plan query. Anyone been?

I want to buy some tickets for my parents to see Cirque du Soleil in March. Having looked at the seating plan, I'm not sure where would be a good place to seat. They're in their mid-60s and wear glasses so they don't have to be too close. However I don't want them to get cricked necks by sitting too close to the stage.

Anyone actually been to the NIA who could advise me?

Thanks!

I've been... but to a fashion show. I think the seating plan is set out different for different functions.

Yes, you're right, themoon66. Where did you sit? Were you in the lower/upper tier or near the stage on the ground level?

near the stage at ground level... but the cat walk/stage was level with my eyes.

So you'd recommend the ground level seats?

Been to concerts there but don't know if layout is the same. Best seats IMO are in block 16 and the equivalent one the other side (block 3?) as you are slightly to the side of the stage but are close and looking down so get a really good view. There were huge screens pointing our way too for a closer view. Not sure what the layout is for Cirque do Soleil though.

Thanks, becklespeckle. That's good to know. I'll check out the seating plan later.
