Kefalonia - is it touristy?

it looks nice, but is it really touristy.

We went about 4 years ago and it is lovely.

The North of the island has more touristy towns, e.g. Fiskardo, but overall it's pretty quiet.

We stayed on the South coast and it is still quiet - although there was a lot of building going on then. Having said that, it was villas that were being built, not great high rise blocks or hotels.

thanks - think its a no go because of teh flights, there on a monday, really need a sat or sun flight.
