I quite fancy it and was wondering which hotel is best for families?

Not Mark Warner - I saw a programme about it a while back and the child care was a joke - not enough helments for all the children so some went without for something, etc.

I dont want child care more child/family facilities eg. playpark, kids pools, child friendly restaurants etc..

You could try looking at the Holiday Village and Coral Sea Resort - both First Choice.

we've just been with our 8mo - we love sharm, and it was fab with him. we stayed at the 4 seasons which is wonderful for kids but pricey. food free for under 5s, loads of buckets and spades on beach etc. staff were absolutely amazing with him.

hyatt regency is lovely hotel and lots of kids things including lazy river pool which is fun.

there are lots of nice hotels in naama bay that i am sure are great.

in general egyptians love kids so you should find facilities and atmosphere in hotels are ideal.

We LOVE the Hyatt, so good we went back, and plan to go back again another year!

Various pools, lazy river, slide, it has its own reef off of the beach, so the children can be paddling up to their knees and they will see the entire cast of Finding Nemo!

Great long pontoon you can walk along, and sit on the edge and see all the fish, its brilliant.

Childrens play area, toy room, mini playground, ping pong for older children.

Souk restaurant is great for families, you get given a bag of coins when you arrive, and then you can go and choose whatever you want from the various "stalls": (mini open kitchens) so someone can be eating fish, another chinese, another pizza/pasta. The children LOVE it, it's open air, there is an egyptian lady making pitta breads in a clay oven, and THEN you get the belly dancers/music on a stage a bit later on.

One night as treat we went to the Thai restaurant which apparently is THE one in Sharm. It was excellent.

Wonderful breakfasts, huge variety of foods.

Staff wonderful. Shuttle bus to take you into centre of town. REALLY recommend Hyatt!

ah bluesky - you're making me wish i was back! yep, souk is great for kids as it means they can eat different food to you and pay for it with their own bag of coins! and the reef at the hyatt is the best in sharm so the snorkelling is wonderful.

Have a look at the Aqua Blu (also called the Aqua Park) Hotel in Sharm. The family rooms have two separate bedrooms and on site waterpark with plenty of waterslides and other activities for children Hotel website here. Whichever hotel you chose be sure to check the reviews on Tripadvisor before you book.
