Hi there, need to know how it works. You pay for the entry and then what? Do you still pay for the rides? Or not? Do you have any kind of tokens perhaps? Is it a good fun day out? Thanks

Depends on the age of your children. We had annual passes and usually went to Chessington with dc, aged 9 and 6 at the time. We went to Thorpe Park once and didn't like it. It was full of groups of teenagers, rather than families like Legoland and Chessington and a lot of the rides were of the fling-you-around-and-get-you-wet variety. You pay a single entry fee for all rides but there were a lot of tatty Test your Strength type booths which were extra. Also thought the place was in need of a refurb. If your children are young, would definitely recommend Legoland or Chessington above TP.

Flat entry fee

Fastpass for popular rides (extra cost)

Depends on age of your dc's - lot of 'big' rides and more of a teen theme park really. Mine are fearless and love it, whilst I mind the coats and bags!

young children - gulivers world is an absoute must, particularly for kids under 3

alton towers is also good for family days out as it has seperate areas for specific age groups and a fab swimming pool

Went to Thorpe Park on Sunday and was disappointed, nothing for wimps like me and DD and the big rides which DS and DH went on were queued up for over an hour. Far too many overpriced tatty stalls.
I am glad I didn't pay, much prefer Chessington and Legoland.
