Viva Las Vegas - which hotel?????

Going to Las Vegas with DH in May for 5 nights (without DDs - yippee!) Don't know which hotel to choose.

My friend is marrying at the Circus Circus which will be relatively cheap to stay, but I fancy somewhere really nice as it'll be our only time out there. Thinking maybe The Luxor. Any suggestions or stories please.

I've stayed at the Venetian too. It was fantastic!!! Great food, pools, spa (oooh, the spa), rooms huge, canals, gondolas. I would definitely go back.

Wherever you choose, have a wonderful time. I can't wait to go back!

DH has taken so long to make up his mind and now the prices have gone up. Would still love to hear your experiences though!

Ive stayed at Treasure Island, Mandalay Bay & New YOrk New York.

Mandalay bay was the nicest (the smell is lovely as sofia said!!!)and theres a section were you can wander through to the four seasons, for nice quiet miander withought tingting noises. It also has the nicest choice of restaurants , lots of famous ones from New York there.

Treasure Island seems quite dated now the venetian is open accross the road.

New york was quite good , but the noise of the roaller coaster did get a bit much after a while when trying to relax by the pool , as it flys right over.

The Hilton had a fab star trek thing on , with simulator ride & a themed bar were we had a drunken mad evening with Klingons and ferengue !!!.

Circus Circus is just UUUUUEERRGHH.

how strange only found this site yesterday & here you are talkin about vegas,i got married there in 2003 at the little white wedding chapel it was brilliant even though it was over before we knew it!we got a package deal & stayed in a right dump about a mile from the strip honestly to my horror it was just like bates motel.so when we went back in 2004 we just got flights we stayed at stardust ballys and the hilton all were really nice although stardust is old the rooms were nice we got a free upgrade to a suite so im biased ballys was to &in a good location hilton was ok but a bit out the way & overrated.if your on aol go onto their travel site theres loads of reviews & prices per night.hope you have a good 1 i wish we could do it all over again but as my dd has recently arrived it wont be for awhile x

Hi

Would just like to say thanks for all your advice.

We stayed at The Mirage which was perfect. Not too expensive and right in the heart of everything. All the hotels are amazing and I'd go back tomorrow if it wasn't for the long flight and lack of money!

Thanks again!!!!
