I have just returned from Cala Egos in Majorca and I think it is a ideal destination for those with little ones. There are a few bars/restaurants and they are mainly located along a pedestrian only area, meaning you can relax just a tiny bit ! The food was very good in most restaurants (though not cheap 15-20 Euro for a fillet steak for example).
There is a small safe beach where the kiddies can't run off too far.
Also you are close to Cala D'or which you can access by tourist train thingy, cab (5 euro) or walk 20 mins, there is a gorgeous marina there with beautiful restaurants.
We hired a private villa so I can't recommend where to stay but can say the area is ideal for those with young children.
