Hotels in Harrogate/Ripon/Thirsk/N Yorkshire

Can anyone recommend a lovely hotel in N Yorkshire - preferably round about Harrogate. It's for dh and me, so not bothered about child friendliness, but would like it to be lovely! Thanks!

thirsk is lovely I used to live there, can recommend the busyby stoop (just outside thirsk) there's the big three as well (that's the local term for it) the one you've picked is very nice as well.

can recommend the 'little three' pub jsut around the corner form there and the blacksmiths arms - both very good,

Rudding is GORGEOUS! I was married there 12 years ago and its just lovely......however there was no hotel there then, so infact I spent my wedding night at the Balmoral! It was nice but at the time a bit faded grandeur but has been done up since then I think.

Well tehre you go for future ref! The Hotel du Vin is nice, but full of Harrogate poshos!
