Spending money for Salou?

Flying out to Salou in a few days.

2 adults - Bed and breakfast.

5 nights, 4 days.
late flight landing in Reus and lunch time flight on the way home.

planning to go to Barcelona as well as a few other excursions like house of illusions.

planning to take £1k, will that be enough?

Well its about 2-3 times what we spend on a holiday like that so I'd say its plenty.

But you do mean 'accessible on a credit or debit card' rather than actual cash money?

Apart from the odd little spend - some small shops and bars either won't accept a card for under about 10 euro or they'll make it known they're unhappy about it, you don't need cash and you'll get a better rate with a card that doesn't charge for overseas transactions as long as you pay in euro. It's also worth being aware that unless you use a Santander card to withdraw from a Santander machine, you will be charged to withdraw cash by the machine operator.
