Anyone been to a CP on the continent? I’ve been looking at the one in the Netherlands that’s near Eftling. I like the idea of going to Belgium though. Just curious if you’ve been to one and recommend it? We’d be driving, have teens who like to be kept busy. Looking for October.

I have been to Erperhiede and did a day trip from there to Efteling. Also been to De Haan which is close to Calais. There is a Facebook group called Centre Parcs Europe Just for Brits which is great for info on all the parks.

We did De Kempervennen and absolutely loved it. Close to the border with Belgium if you wanted to do day trips. We found the Dutch parks were cheaper than Belgium (certainly ones of equivalent size/quality, etc). We also found there was more flexibility with arrival dates than in Belgium.

We did a separate stay at Efteling, but could have easily gone as a day trip. We just wanted to have a longer period at the park, so stayed there for 2 nights after our CP trip.

Would definitely recommend De Kempervennen, our daughter was 11
when we went, loads to keep occupied. Would love to go back again!

Look at Duinrell in the Netherlands. it’s not CP but really worth considering. Teens will love the indoor water park and theme park on-site. Loads to do.. hire bikes, great museums in Leiden, easy to get into Amsterdam. Ticked lots of boxes for us we always went in October.

de kempervennen is great, that’s probably the one to go to for teens or de vossemeren which we also loved. Loads to do. Het meerdal we also enjoyed but it’s much smaller, recommended for smaller kids I would say.
If you’re interested in going to Efteling then I would stay a night or two there as well, the accommodation is great.
Phantasialand is another theme park is striking distance, I would say this has more rides for teens if they like the big coasters.
