Passports-check and send service-how long does it take to come back?

I have to go away with work on what I thought was the 7th July, but it actually turns out it is on the 4th July.

I sent my passport renewal application off through the check and send service on the 18th June-what is the likelihood that I will get it back in time? And what can I do if it isn't back? Am really stressing out!

Ours came back within 2 weeks, if I remember rightly.

I got mine back 6 days after we did the check and send at the post office.

I sent 2 off on a Friday, through the check & send service. I got one back on following Tuesday, and the other one a day later.
Did this July last year.
