Indoor cabin on cruise

I've decided to book a cruise but they only have inside cabins left. Has anyone done that?

I've been on lots of cruises. I've had a balcony often but I have taken a cruise with an indoor cabin with Costa cruises sharing cabin with my sister and we were upgraded to a larger cabin with restricted view as I'd mentioned I was treating her for her 60th birthday when I booked. Basically you use your cabin to shower and get dressed and to sleep in. The rest of the time we were either in other public areas of ship or on excursions. Inside cabins are very good value.

I did a northern European cruise with an inside cabin and it was fine. I put the TV on when im the room with the camera from the front of the ship.
I wouldn't do it for somewhere like the fjords or Caribbean though, I'd want the views.

I think it also depends on the type of person you are, I need my own space away from people so a balcony is a non negotiable, breakfast on my peaceful private balcony is absolute bliss, I happily sit there for hours watching the world go by. I use my room a lot, to me the best part of the cruise is the balcony. If you are a just using the room to crash type of person an interior cabin is fine.

First one we did was inside, it was fine. However now would not cruise unless room had a balcony. Mainly because it’s lovely sitting watching but also because there have been a few issues on cruises where people have had to stay in their cabins and I would not want to have to stay in an inside cabin.
