Anyone been to Gdansk recently?

We are travelling to Gdansk on a Friday evening (landing around 18.30). Some of the accommodation I’m looking at has restricted check in times. I’m concerned it may take a few hours to get through the new immigration system, and we will miss the latest check in time. Has anybody been recently who could give me an idea of waiting times? Thank you.

I’ve not been to Gdansk, but the new system took an extra 30 seconds in Vienna and had been abandoned in Crete. I wouldn’t worry about it for Gdansk. It doesn’t have thousands of Uk visitors like Spain and the Greek Islands.

I went to another Polish city with the new system recently as well as Gdansk last year and both times it was fine.

Helped by about two thirds of travellers having EU, presumably Polish passports so not needing to use the non EU queue.

It took us about an hour more at Krakow in April

I went to gdansk with the new system in place - it added about 45 minutes on. Their machines seemed very slow.

I'm on a couple Poland travel Facebook groups and FWIW there have been a LOT of complaints about Krakow, but I haven't seen Gdansk mentioned much. I went through Warsaw recently and it maybe added 30 minutes.

Not the question, but mentioning because of the concern about time, Hampton by Hilton in the old town was really nice, good location and a good price. We landed at 10:50pm and checked in after midnight.
